Just a little reminder that, because Christmas is next week, many galleries will be closing for a few days. Some are taking off December 24 and 25, while others are opting for nice, long breaks, through January 1 or longer. So if you want to see art before the start of 2015, it is probably best to call your local art dealer before heading out to see them. I had the very sad experience of showing up at a Lower East Side gallery today, excited to see a show, only to find it had already for the year yesterday. It’s not a great feeling. Don’t make the same mistake!

On the museum front, many big ones like MoMA, are only closed for Christmas Day, but there are all sorts of exceptions and reduced hours, so plan ahead.

ARTnews will continue to publish through the end of the year. Thank you for reading.
