Artist Jayson Musson has released a preview for The Adventures of Jamel, a new web series set to premiere tomorrow night at Salon 94 Bowery.

Starring Upright Citizen Brigade Theatre’s James III and directed by Scott Ross, the series is a sci-fi comedy in the vein of Pootie Tang. Details about the series’ plot are sparse. There is no press release on Salon 94’s website, and no summary is given with the 45-second clip, released today on the series’ YouTube channel. The series’ website, gojamelgo.com, doesn’t give away much either.

The clip, which features the show’s titular protagonist using his “hip-hop pizzazz” to make a time machine work, is available below. Also making an appearance: a photoshopped picture of Jamel with Biggie and Tupac.

Catch the premiere of The Adventures of Jamel tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Salon 94 Bowery. For those who can’t make it, the series will probably go online on Thursday, Musson tweeted earlier this week.
