Later this month the art world-adjacent writer Sheila Heti will debut her play All Our Happy Days Are Stupid at The Kitchen in New York. The show will run February 19 through 28.
First, though the show will hit Heti’s native Canada, where the National Post allowed her to promote it in a fairly awesome way. It’s a short story that seems to have been written with a mobile phone’s “auto-finish” email feature, encouraging people to come to the show at The Kitchen or, in the story, “the kitchen,” and in Toronto.
Here’s a sample paragraph:
If you are busy or cannot get a ticket to the launch of the kitchen, I have a quick question for you. I have to submit it to the corner of the kitchen. I will be back in Toronto, Ontario, and surrounding areas. They are the most popular flesh light videos, and I will be back in a minute.
Great concept, great execution, what more could you want? Can’t wait to see it at The Kitchen!
