Hallie S. Hobson will begin a new role as the Studio Museum’s director of institutional advancement, managing development and fundraising.
Hobson worked at the Studio Museum from 2005 to 2007, before leaving for development positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
“I am thrilled to welcome Hallie Hobson back to the Studio Museum in this exciting leadership position,” Thelma Golden, the museum’s director and chief curator, said in a statement released to press. “Her extensive professional experience and deep commitment to the Studio Museum’s mission make her an invaluable addition to the museum’s management team.”
Hobson is also an accomplished playwright and poet, and will take up her new role immediately.
