Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.

Today’s show: “Martin Wong: Painting Is Forbidden,” which is on view at the CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts in San Francisco through April 18, 2015. It was curated by CCA’s Graduate Program in Curatorial Practice Class of 2015, and—to quote the news release—presents “writing, calligraphy, drawing, ceramics, theatrical set design, painting, poetry, and collage” by the great Martin Wong (1946–1999). Images follow below.
