Tonight at the Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, The Bruce High Quality Foundation will present a benefit screening called “The Future Is Whatever,” the proceeds of which will directly go to the art collective’s free university in New York’s East Village.
Curated by Andrea McGinty, the screening will include works from BFFA3AE, Petra Cortright, Sean J Patrick Carney (who has also taught classes at the foundation) and many more. The program begins with a 4:00 picnic at McCarren Park before moving to Nitehawk for a 7:30 screening. There is an after party at Crown Victoria Bar. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.
The Bruce High Quality Foundation University describes itself as “New York City’s freest art school, a learning experiment where artists work together to manifest creative, productive, resistant, useless, and demanding interactions between art and the world.”
The screening is part of Nighthawk’s Art Seen program, which continues into the fall.
