The Seattle Art Fair announced the first round of exhibitors for this year’s edition, which runs August 4 to 7. Also in the announcement was news that the fair’s artistic director will now be Laura Fried, who was previously a curator at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, from 2007 to 2011.

So far, 46 galleries are set to show work in Seattle for this year’s fair, which is expected to include 75 galleries. This means that the Seattle Art Fair has already expanded over last year’s edition, the fair’s first, which included 60 exhibitors. A release notes that the fair isn’t done accepting exhibitor applications yet—the deadline to apply is March 11, and more exhibitors will be announced in the coming months.

“The enthusiastic response from both returning exhibitors and new applicants has been tremendous,” Max Fishko, the fair’s director, said in a statement. “Visitors to the Seattle Art Fair will have the unique opportunity to interact with these top galleries—a representation of the world’s finest exhibitors of modern and contemporary art—in an extremely intimate setting fit for great conversation and important acquisition.”
