New York’s Marianne Boesky Gallery announced that it now represents Los Angeles–based artist Dashiell Manley, who was first featured at the gallery in a 2015 group show titled “Weird Science.” Manley’s work, including paintings from his Various sources (quiet satires) series along with newer works, will be shown at Boesky’s Armory Show booth next week. The gallery will mount a solo exhibition with Manley next year.

Manley is currently represented by Redling Fine Art in Los Angeles and Jessica Silverman Gallery in San Francisco. His work has been featured in group exhibitions at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as well as in the 2014 Whitney Biennial and in the Hammer Museum’s 2012 “Made in L.A.” show.

In a statement, Kelly Woods, director at Marianne Boesky, said:

“Dashiell’s practice draws out the most affecting qualities of the media with which he works, creating a new visual vocabulary that encapsulates the erosion of boundaries in art and in our lives as well. It has an arresting and dynamic quality that immediately engages viewers. We are delighted to be collaborating with Dashiell, to bring his work to new audiences in New York.”
