Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.

Today’s show: Flame’s 2016 solo exhibition is on view at Park View in Los Angeles through Saturday, November 5. The show which presents new work by the Berlin-based artist, carries an impressive press release, published in full below:

• Some people think the internet has been cursed
• Some people would like to see the worst case scenario take place in order to retroactively justify their feelings
• There is a temptation to experience short-term relief in indulging in panic. Each time we give in, we set off a set of relays on the web that makes the hyperstition more likely to become a reality
• Our day to day use of binary machines changes our brains neuroplastically, like a muscle
• There are many layers of meaning on the web
• A meta-meaning
• An affective meaning
