Today, Richard Gray Gallery, which has outposts in Chicago and New York, announced its expansion in the Windy City with a new 5,000-square-foot exhibition space that is set to open next year in the West Town neighborhood northwest of downtown Chicago.

The new space will be designed by Wheeler Kearns Architects and is set to open April 28, 2017 with a show of new paintings by Jim Dine. “The expansion affords us the opportunity to more completely express the gallery’s program,” gallery partner Valerie Carberry said in a statement. “We can now offer a large-scale, adaptable footprint to the artists we represent, and we anticipate its creative and dynamic implementation in upcoming installations.”

Richard Gray will continue to operate an office and gallery at its Michigan Avenue location in Chicago as well as its Madison Avenue gallery in New York.
