Andrew Kreps Gallery has announced that it now represents Vancouver-based sculptor Liz Magor.

In her work, Magor focuses on the peripheral details of the quotidian, replicating objects with masterful verisimilitude. She re-presents these forms in new contexts, blurring the lines between the fake and the real. Magor’s interest in the environment, psychology, and domestic maintenance allows her to examine how everyday
things and materials influence our identities and desires.

In 2017, Magor’s work will be the subject of exhibitions at the Hamburger Kunstverein, in Hamburg, and the Migros Museum, in Zurich. She has had solo shows at the Power Plant and the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto and the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal in Montreal.
