The 23rd edition of the Armory Show opens to the public on Thursday, March 2, with a preview day on Wednesday, March 1. Part 1 of the preview looked at exhibitors participating in the main Galleries section of the fair. Part 2 looks at the exhibitors in the Insights, Presents, Focus, and Platform areas of the fair. The Insights section focuses on 20th century art, particularly modern and postwar work, while the Presents section offers booths by galleries less than 10 years old; both lean toward solo and two-person presentations. This year’s Focus section departs from the traditional scope of the section, now in its eight year—this presentation, organized by curator Jarrett Gregory, presents commissioned solo-artist projects. The Platform section, new this year and curated by Eric Shiner, presents large-scale installation and site-specific works. Among the highlights are Glenn Ligon at New York’s Vivian Horan Fine Art, Teresa Margolles at Zurich’s Galerie Peter Kilchmann, and Anya Titova at Moscow’s Artwin Gallery.
