New York’s Peter Freeman, Inc. gallery now represents Charles LeDray, the sculptor known for his mysterious assemblages that often feature men’s clothing. He previously showed in New York with Sperone Westwater gallery.

LeDray was the subject of a traveling museum survey in 2010 that began at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and later traveled to the Whitney Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. On view in that show were more than 50 of the New York–based artist’s sculptures, which tend to bring together various fabrics and miniature versions of apparel.

Over the years, LeDray’s work has earned him the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award and the Prix de Rome. His work is currently in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Museum of Modern Art, and other notable institutions.
