The 24th edition of the Armory Show opens to the public on Thursday, March 8, with a preview day on Wednesday, March 7. The fair will bring together 198 galleries from 31 countries. Part 2 of our preview looks at the exhibitors in the Insights, Presents, Focus, and Platform sections of the fair. The Insights section is dedicated to 20th-century works, highlighting modern and postwar pieces, while the Presents sections plays host to galleries younger than 10 years. This year’s Focus section is curated by Gabriel Ritter, and will present solo and dual-artist presentations. The Platform section, titled “The Contingent” and curated by Jen Mergel, will house large-scale and site-responsive installations and commissions. Among the highlights are Kapwani Kiwanga at Paris’s Galerie Jérôme Poggi, Wilmer Wilson IV at Washington, D.C.’s Connersmith, and Emma Amos at New York’s Ryan Lee. (Part 1 of our preview is here.)
