When Robert Toll was asked in 2007 by the Real Deal what kind of art collection he and his wife, Jane, had, he replied that it was “extensive and eclectic.” There is no doubt that their collection is extensive, but while it may be eclectic, the Tolls’ collection does have two specific areas of focus: French Impressionism and American art. He declined to share details about which of his pieces of art was most valuable, but Robert did say that his art collection, as a whole, was his most prized possession.
