‘We have been involved in the visual arts for more than 30 years, principally by collecting and supporting museums and artists,” Jeanne and Michael L. Klein told Life & Letters. “We view ourselves as custodians of the art that we collect (modern and contemporary) and will donate the collection to a museum in the future.” The couple’s impressive collection moves far beyond traditional painting and sculpture; highlights include a James Turrell “Skyspace” work in the middle of their home in Austin and two Roy McMakin chairs.
