In this unassuming gallery below street level is “After the Object,” a show of work by four Mexican artists and one artist group; the title of the exhibition designates artwork that directly references a preexisting object. Omar Rodriguez-Graham’s “diptychs”—each a cheery painted-wood construction hung next to a similarly scaled painting of said 3-D object—are the most literal manifestation of the show’s theme.
