“He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends,” Oscar Wilde once quipped. It’s one of the stinging barbs you’ll hear sung by a boy soprano in Allora & Calzadilla’s new performance and sculptural work, Fault Lines. Ten stone sculptures are scattered throughout the gallery and mimic, in form and function, choral risers. At various times daily you can catch a 20-minute performance by two (very) young male vocalists, who “fight” in an a capella duel using an original composition by Guarionex Morales, while navigating the stone slabs.
