As a twist on the requisite summer group show, Gladstone has turned its space over to Berlin’s Galerie Neu to display work by eight of its artists. On one wall hang Reena Spaulings’s insidery portraits of mostly young art world professionals. John Knight’s installation consists of the battered wood roof from an old location of Galerie Neu, placed over the lower part of the gallery walls, like wainscoting. Many of the other artists’ works (for example Klara Liden’s accumulated posters, Gedi Sibony’s section of a trailer and Sergej Jensen’s stitched-together fabric collage) similarly appropriate found materials.
