The New York Foundation for the Arts’ (NYFA) Emergency Relief Fund is now available for artists living in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut affected by Hurricane Sandy. The fund is established by The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the Andy Warhol Foundation and the Lambent Foundation and has been helped by the contributions of universities, individual artists and non-profit organizations that held fundraisers or benefits.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with grants made every two weeks. The majority of grants are anticipated to range from $1,000 to $5,000.
Additional details can be found at www.nyfa.org and www.artspire.org. A list of grants, loans and legal resources to help artists who have suffered from losses is also available through their database of opportunities, Source.
Parties interested in contributing to the fund can donate online.
