Swiss born, Berlin-based artist Reto Pulfer’s immense, tent-like room created within the gallery is a soothing environment that triggers a kind of reverie. One area of the ceiling bears an exuberantly painted abstract composition, and there’s another rather funky geometric design painted on a wall. It’s a calming place, but there are some unnerving elements: a crate with bits of ceramic inside on the upper level seems a bit sinister, and an almost hidden, cell-like empty room within the gallery suggests isolation or desolation, depending on your mood.
