Providing an East Coast complement to the current “Pacific Standard Time” extravaganza of shows about California art, Sotheby’s will mount the show “Southern California Minimalism: 1960 to the Present” at its S|2 Gallery from Mar. 2–Mar. 22.
Organized by Santa Monica gallery Kayne Griffin Corcoran, the show will include works by Larry Bell, Robert Irwin, Craig Kauffman, John McCracken and James Turrell. S|2 opened in September in a 3,500-square-foot space designed by Richard Gluckman. This is the fifth show at the venue.
