Installation view of "Strauss Bourque-LaFrance, Caitlin Keogh, Pam Lins, Sean Raspet."
Rachel Uffner, a longtime resident of Orchard Street, recently moved eastward to a massive new space. For the gallery’s reopening, a show of paintings by Joanne Greenbaum takes over the cavernous main gallery—upstairs, however, is a quirky group exhibition. Highlights include Pam Lins’s Red White and Blue (2013), a trio of ceramic drum sets perched on USPS boxes repurposed as pedestals, and Caitlin Keogh’s paintings reworking extracts of text from Dior by Dior and The Ravishing of Lol Stein by Marguerite Duras into hypnotic patterns.
