
As the opening of this year’s 55th Venice Biennale approaches, many countries have already released the names of the artists who will be featured in their national pavilions. The Biennale, which runs from June 1st to Nov. 24th, 2013, takes place at the Giardini and at the Arsenale, as well as other venues around Venice.
At least eight countries, including the Bahamas, Bahrain, Ivory Coast, Kosovo, Kuwait, the Maldives, Nigeria and Paraguay, will be welcomed as first time exhibitors. Here are the countries and their representative artists that have been announced thus far:
