Born in 1949 in Montreal, Bordo is an American painter who serves as Associate Professor of Art at Cooper Union in New York, where he leads the painting program. In 2007 he was awarded a Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation grant. His most recent solo show was at Alexander and Bonin, New York, March 16 – April 27, 2013.
