HENNING ROGGE/SKULPTUR PROJEKTE MUNSTER
If you’re passing through Münster, Germany, this weekend and planning to see this year’s wonderful Skulptur Projekte, I come bearing good news: this Saturday, September 2, many of its artworks will be on view for longer than usual as part of the charming city’s “Night of the Museums and Galleries” (or “Die Langen Nacht der Museen,” as the locals say), which will keep many institutions there open from August 31 through September 2.
Quite a few works will be on view until 10 p.m. and those at the LWL-Museum für Kunst will be on view until midnight. (Most pieces are typically open until 8 p.m., and 10 p.m. on Fridays.)
In addition, for the entire final weekend of the show—Friday, September 29, through Sunday, October 1—works will remain on view until 10 p.m. (Since some of the sculptures are in public space, though, and they can of course be viewed at any time.) Here’s a quick look around the exhibition.
