On Kathy Grayson’s Instagram account about a week ago, the gallerist and artist posted a detail from a new work by Brad Troemel and commented: “I guess it was only a matter of time until rock climbing grip abstraction appeared.” The piece in question was what you might expect, an abstract conglomeration of potent neon rock climbing grips over a white background. What Grayson didn’t mention (or didn’t know about), however, was the Furbys.
