David Zwirner has picked Harry Scrymgeour to direct its London outpost, joining James Green and Rodolphe von Hofmannsthal, who are also directors there. He will begin in his new position on March 6, ahead of an Andrzej Wróblewski exhibition that opens at the gallery later that month.
Scrymgeour was a partner at Clearing gallery, which has spaces in Brussels, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Prior to that, he was the director of Michael Werner Gallery’s London space.
“I am thrilled to be joining David Zwirner,” Scrymgeour said in a statement. “It’s an exciting time for the gallery as the team expands globally.”
Update, 12:15 p.m.: This post now reflects that Scrymgeour is one of the London space’s three directors.
