It’s a few days into September, with Labor Day having concluded just hours ago, and yet, apparently, it’s imperative to start thinking about December. And so we give you the exhibitor list for Art Basel Miami Beach, which will once again go down in South Beach, this year from December 1 until December 4. There are some new galleries present, and a few exciting new entrants into the Nova and Positions sectors—though, as a press release notes, over 85 of this year’s exhibiting galleries were there at Art Basel’s first Miami Beach iteration in 2002.
What isn’t mentioned about Art Basel Miami Beach is the 24/7 caviar delivery service, the “subliminal guerrilla marketing campaign” employed by vodka brands that will be “strategically poured at the most buzzworthy locations and venues,” the dealers Skyping into events at The Standard, or the artists making rambling toasts at Mr. Chow.
