Summer is coming to a close and fall beckons. In a matter of weeks, holiday beverage flavors—pumpkin spice, candy cane, and the like—will arrive, but now is a time for gallery openings, new museum exhibitions, and the first fairs of the new art season. Today brings news about the annual Editions/Artists’ Books Fair, which runs this year from October 26 through 29 at Chelsea’s Tunnel building (269 11th Avenue)—which, I should note, is home year-round to Danny Meyer’s excellent Porchlight bar. Some 40 publishers will be offering work at the fair, which is free October 27–29 and ticketed on its opening day, from the A.I.R. Gallery and the LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies at Columbia University, both New York outfits, to Bleu Acier and Viadukt Screen Prints, of Tampa and Vienna, respectively.
