Lehmann Maupin has named Jessica Kreps a partner. Kreps was previously a director at the gallery, which has two spaces in New York—on the Lower East Side and in Chelsea—and in Hong Kong at the Pedder Building.
Kreps first joined the gallery in 2009 and was promoted to director in 2014. Since then, she has also been an artist liaison and worked in the gallery’s sales department. Prior to working at Lehmann Maupin, she was sales director at Two Palms in New York. She currently sits on the Whitney Museum’s Artist’s Council.
“I remember when Jessica first started working at the gallery—she was young and fresh, and I always saw extreme potential in her,” gallery cofounder Rachel Lehmann said in a statement. “Today—eight years later—I still find the same freshness and curiosity, and I trust her with what is most dear to me, which are our artists.”
