The Margulies Collection in Miami has acquired Die Erdzeitalter (Ages Of The World) (2014), the daunting installation that serves as something of a centerpiece for Anselm Kiefer’s current retrospective at London’s Royal Academy, which runs through December.
“This major work by Kiefer will be a feature exhibition next season at the Warehouse in the Fall of 2015–2016 season,” a collection representative wrote in an email.
The towering work of abandoned canvases made its debut at the retrospective and dominates the Royal Academy’s octogonal gallery.
