Thomas Campbell, an Englishman who serves as the director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, only became a U.S. citizen two years ago; the naturalization ceremony took place in the museum’s American Wing. And so, today, Campbell took full advantage of his enfranchisement and cast a vote, according to his Instagram.
“This immigrant has voted,” he said. “Let’s hope the country gets this one right, err correct.”
The striking of the word “right” seems to indicate that, when he voted in his first U.S. presidential election, Campbell voted for Hillary Clinton. I mean, just look at how great he looks hanging out with Joe Biden at the Met. It would make sense that he’s with her.
