The Dallas Art Fair has revealed the exhibitor list for this year’s edition, ARTnews reported this morning. This year’s fair will be its tenth-anniversary edition, and will include nearly 100 exhibitors. [ARTnews]
The Talent
ARTnews reported last night that Brett Littman, the director of the Drawing Center, will head up New York’s Noguchi Museum. It’s something of a homecoming for him—he previously worked in Long Island City when he was deputy director of PS1. [ARTnews]
Strange Dealings
The Hollywood Reporter tells the story of a Dubai art dealer and how he uncovered what may be a cache of artworks that once belonged to the drug lord Pablo Escobar. The dealer allegedly attempted to authenticate the works he came across, by Pablo Picasso, Fernando Botero, and others, but ran into difficulties when he didn’t have the necessary provenance information. Sotheby’s and the collector Anatole Shagalov are in the middle of a legal battle over a $6.5 million Keith Haring work, Bloomberg reports. Shagalov claims that he planned to pay for the work in installments, but then Sotheby’s demanded it all at once. [Bloomberg]

On Medium, Geeta Dayal remembers the experimental filmmaker Paul Clipson, who died this past weekend, by publishing a full-length version of an interview previously printed by KQED. “I’m just a film fanatic,” Clipson said. “I love film — just the history, everything.” [Medium]
The Joy of Loans
