The 49th edition of Art Basel opens to the public on Thursday, June 14, with two preview days, on June 12 and 13. Some 290 galleries from 35 countries will be at the marquee Swiss art fair, which runs through June 20, and among the offerings are Melati Suryodarmo at ShanghART Gallery, of Shanghai, Beijing, and Singapore; Anthony Hernandez at Cologne’s Galerie Thomas Zander; and David Askevold at the booth of Canada gallery in New York.
