And by “some stuff,” we mean exactly two things. (In addition to our thorough and sometimes wacky reporting, which you can read here!) ARTnews contributing editor (and owner of Half Gallery) Bill Powers will be appearing in conversation with the very talented Nathaniel Mary Quinn at the Frieze Reading Room on Randall’s Island. That’s today, May 5, at 4:30 p.m. More info on that here. (If you can’t make it, Bill interviewed Quinn for our summer issue, which is on newsstands next week, but you know, try to make it!)
Tomorrow, Friday, May 6, ARTnews deputy editor M. H. Miller is moderating a panel at the NADA art fair at Basketball City (299 South Street in Manhattan) at 3 p.m. It’s called “Go Pro: The Hyper-Professionalization of the Emerging Artist” and will feature Daniel S. Palmer, curator at the Jewish Museum; Jayne Johnson, director at New York’s Peter Freeman gallery; and artists Jamian Juliano-Villani and Diane Simpson. The panel is based on an essay Palmer wrote for our spring issue.
Anyway, come to our stuff! Or don’t come and just read our other stuff! Or do neither of those things and just read this one blog post! It’s your life, you know.
