The 48th edition of Art Basel opened to VIP guests today, June 13, and will open to the public on Thursday, June 15. The fair brings together 291 galleries from 35 countries to the Swiss city. Among the highlights are Yan Xing at Galerie Urs Meile, of Beijing and Lucerne, Switzerland; Ron Terada at Vancouver’s Catriona Jeffries; and Carlos Javier Ortiz at Jenkins Johnson Gallery, of San Francisco and New York.
