MUSTAPHA ELHAMLILI
Marrakech, Morocco, played host last weekend to the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, which debuted its first edition in Africa after previous incarnations in London and New York. While visitors were in town, the new Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden staged an official international opening, and other events—at the Montresso Art Foundation and other institutions—made for a sort of Marrakech Art Week.
