TEFAF New York announced the 93 dealers who will take part in its second fall edition, which returns to the Park Avenue Armory October 28 through November 1. Ten new exhibitors have been added to the roster of dealers focused on fine and decorative arts and jewelry from antiquity through the early 20th century.
Tom Postma, the Dutch designer responsible for the look of last year’s fair, will return to his post. Under his watch, the Park Avenue Armory’s storied 55,000-square-foot drill hall and various elaborately appointed rooms will once again be filled with a range of art that runs the gamut from furniture, decorations, ceramics, and antiques to paintings, sculptures, and books.
In a statement, Michael Plummer, TEFAF’s managing director, said that after a first New York edition last fall and a follow-up focused on modern and contemporary art and design this past spring, the fair will return to its roots by “focusing on historic art, antiquities, and Old Masters.”
The ten new exhibitors this year are Caylus Gallery (Spain), Daxer & Marschall Kunsthandel (Germany), Galerie Canesso (France), Galerie Delalande Paris (France), Galerie J. Kugel (France), Maria Kiang Chinese Art (Hong Kong), Mullany (UK), Talabardon & Gautier (France), and Thomas Colville Fine Art (United States).
