The recipients of 2015’s Swiss Art Awards were announced yesterday at Art Basel. Artinfo reports that the Swiss Grand Award for Art/Prix Meret Oppenheim went to artists Christoph Büchel and Olivier Mosset, curator Urs Stahel, and architect duo Staufer/Hasler.
The eleven Swiss Art Awards were given to artists Mathis Altmann, Gilles Aubry, Andreas Dobler, Gilles Furtwängler, Julia Geröcs,Tobias Kaspar, Mélodie Mousset, Jessica Pooch, and Yves Scherer; architects Maria Conen and Raoul Sigl of Conen Sigl Architects; and critic Nadine Wietlisbach. In addition to receiving either 25,000 CHF in prize money or a six-month residency in Mexico City, the eleven winners will be featured in a group exhibition running concurrent with Art Basel.
