Fisher—who passed away in January of this year—was the influential author of the books Capitalist Realism, Ghosts of My Life, and The Weird and the Eerie. The anthology will collect well over a decade of Fisher’s work, starting in 2003 and running all the way up to previously unpublished writing regarding the 2016 U.S. election.
Perhaps most notably, the anthology will include writing from what likely would’ve become the author’s next book, Acid Communism. Beyond that, work in the anthology will come from a variety of sources: journals and magazines, but also websites and the author’s celebrated blog, k-punk. There will be interviews and a foreword from the music journalist Simon Reynolds.
To learn more about Fisher, this memorial piece by David Stubbs, also in The Quietus, isn’t a bad place to start.
