The Pérez Art Museum Miami has picked the first participant for its Ford Foundation Curatorial Fellowship program: Ade Omotosho. For the next two years, Omotosho will work with the museum’s curatorial team to help oversee upcoming exhibitions and re-installations of its permanent collection.
Omotosho recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin’s undergraduate art history program. He has previously been a fellow at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s photography department.
PAMM’s director, Franklin Sirmans, said in a statement, “With his past experience in the Mellon Curatorial program and as a graduate of the UT-Austin’s art history department, Ade is poised for this inaugural position and we look forward to him joining us in our unique environment here in Miami.”
