Starting on June 1, Eliza Osborne will be the new deputy director of the Armory Show. Osborne’s appointment comes as the fair prepares its 25th-anniversary edition, set to open in New York to VIPs on March 6.
Osborne joins the fair following her term as the executive director for the Centre Pompidou Foundation in Los Angeles, where she oversaw over $27 million worth of acquisitions. She has also held positions in Sotheby’s client loyalty, business development, and bid departments; at the auction house’s Los Angeles branch, she was formerly vice president of client and business development.
In a statement, Osborne said of her appointment, “I am pleased to join the Armory Show at this pivotal time, just after its triumphant 2018 edition and in advance of a landmark year for the fair.”
