COURTESY THE ARTIST AND LOMBARD FREID GALLERY
Highlights include Kicken Berlin’s exhibition of photography from East and West Germany from the 1970s and 80s called “Germany’s Coming of Age,” Van Doren Waxter Gallery’s presentation of Joseph Cornell’s early found-object collages, Kavi Gupta’s show of new bronze works by Mickalene Thomas, and from Chicago’s Rhona Hoffman Gallery, an installation by Michael Rakowitz that connects the break-up of the Beatles with Gamal Nasser’s Middle Eastern peace talks. Fairfield Porter, James Turrell, and Robert Wilson, among many other artists, will also make appearances in this section of the fair, which runs December 4-7. That gives you plenty of time to rest up after Frieze so stop complaining. Full list is below.
