Art Media Holdings, LLC, the parent company of these pages, announced today that Vincent Fremont will be stepping down after completing his term as CEO. While continuing to serve in a senior advisory role for the company, which publishes ARTnews, The Magazine Antiques, MODERN, and Art in America, Fremont will be working on a variety of projects in the art and entertainment fields.
“Our primary goal for the past year has been the stability of the business and the development of a strong digital strategy moving forward,” Fremont said. “I am confident that I am leaving the company in excellent and competent hands with Victoria Hopper,” the president and director of operations of Art Media Holdings. He added, “I look forward to continuing to work on the development of the company video program along with other special projects.”
Earlier in his career, Fremont was vice president of Andy Warhol Enterprises and executive manager of the artist’s studio. Following Warhol’s death in 1987, he was instrumental in forming the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. From 1991 to 2010, he was the foundation’s sales agent, and he has worked as an artist advisor.
