Layers of International Klein Bleue (IKB) were applied to a brass pin and sculpted to form one of the artist’s Vénus Bleue figures. Mounted on an acrylic and gold-leaf backdrop and covered by a removable Perspex case, Petite Vénus Bleue (1956–7) was issued by the artist’s estate in an edition of 500.
