Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.
Today’s show: “Beatriz Cortez and Rafa Esparza: Pasado mañana” is on view at Commonwealth & Council in Los Angeles through Saturday, March 3. The exhibition also presents work by Fabián Guerrero, Sebastián Hernández, María Maea, Rubén Rodríguez, Gabriela Ruiz, and Brenzy Solorzano. With the exhibition, the artists “posit immigrant labor as a foundation for building a future in which multiple imaginaries of gender, race, class, and culture become possible. ‘Pasado mañana,’ Spanish for ‘the day after tomorrow,’ translates literally as ‘when tomorrow has passed,’ ” according to a press release.
