Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.
Today’s show: “Black Power – Flower Power: Photographs by Pirkle Jones and Ruth-Marion Baruch” is on view at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, Germany, through Sunday, June 3. The exhibition presents work, donated to the museum in 2013, by the photographer-couple, who documented San Francisco in the 1960s, from the emergence of the Black Panthers to the rise of hippie culture in the Haight-Ashbury section of the city.
