COURTESY WIKI COMMONS
Caitlín Doherty has been appointed curator and deputy director of curatorial affairs at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, the museum announced today. Doherty was previously the exhibitions and speaker curator at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, where she brought in shows by artists like Fathi Hassan and John O’Connor, and speakers including Marina Abramovic and Richard Serra.
The Broad MSU is housed in a Zaha Hadid-designed building at the billionaire collector’s alma mater. Hadid, as it happens, settled a libel lawsuit this week against the New York Review of Books. Big week all around.
