In an online interview published today by Dazed, Cory Arcangel explained that the catalog for his upcoming exhibition at Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo in Milan will take the form of a teen magazine in the mold of BOP or Tiger Beat.
“It’s designed like a teen magazine that would have One Direction on the cover, but instead of them and pop stars through out; it is pictures of all my work,” Arcangel said. According to the artist, the ‘zine will feature 20 contributors, quizzes about Arcangel, a trend-report, and a bunch of other stuff that would generally be in a teen mag. In addition to the exhibition, it will also be available at select book stores.
Judging from the cover, it looks pretty authentic. Also, judging from the cover, it looks like there will be a massive spread centered around Arcangel’s fashion line for casual internet surfing, Arcangel Surfwear.
“This is all so crazy, everybody seems so famous” opens April 1 and runs until June 28 at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo in Milan.
